Edmonton November Luncheon: City of Edmonton’s Energy Transition Strategy
November 18, 2016 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
CPANS is pleased to announce the November Edmonton Luncheon Topic – City of Edmonton’s Energy Transition Strategy.
At a time when many of the world’s most innovative communities are striving to build low-carbon economies, Edmonton’s Community Energy Transition Strategy is about participating in this movement. While Edmonton will continue to play an important role in developing Alberta’s resource industries, at the same time it will be transitioning to a low-carbon, energy sustainable future. This strategy responds with actions that will reduce Edmonton’s GHG emissions, reduce energy use per person, improve energy efficiency in all sectors, diversify our energy mix and make our energy systems more resilient.
This presentation will provide an overview of Edmonton’s Community Energy Transition Strategy and the projects that the newly formed Energy Transition Unit are undertaking including: Residential EnerGuide Labelling, Building Energy Disclosure, Electric Vehicle Strategy and Energy Efficiency Policies in City Operations.
