The next CPANS Calgary Technical Luncheon presentation is Wednesday, October 24, 2018. Please register by this Friday, October 19!
REINHARD SCHUETZ – P. Eng, UV-DOX EnviroTek
45 years of commitment by Reinhard Schuetz, P. Eng., to Petroleum Industry engineering, as well as passion for a cleaner environment, culminated in the establishment of ‘UV-DOX EnviroTek’ and development of the UV-DOX Reactor (a pollution control device suitable for residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural installations to simultaneously combat germicidal and chemical contaminants).
Prior involvements entailed being a Partner in a consulting engineering company, a Director with the Alberta Biodiesel Association, a Nominee for Entrepreneur of the Year and Founder of a tank fabrication company responsible for Dual-containment Heated Storage Tank and Condensing Unit design and patents.
The presentation will address a newly developed multi-pass Environmental Protection Device (the UV-DOX Reactor) dealing with contamination reduction at the source. Capable of simultaneously mitigating germicidal and chemical contamination, the Reactor is suitable for residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural installations.
Toxic chemical emissions and germ-laden air circulation systems are common instigators of detrimental health and environmental issues. Annual premature human deaths due to air pollution have been estimated at 7,700 in Canada, 200,000 in the USA and a staggering 7 million globally.
UVC light has a proven history of pungent air and germicidal reduction. In addition to achieving superior odour and harmful organism destruction, the UV-DOX Reactor (combining UVC light, photo-catalytic coating and unique baffle system) is also capable of breaking chemical bonds of various VOC’s, thereby effectively diminishing pollutants. For example, lab tests achieved 99.9% destruction of lethal Sulfur Dioxide, 99.0% toxic Ammonia, 98.5% deadly Hydrogen Sulfide, 97.9% carcinogenic Benzene and 96.4% dangerous Nitrogen Oxides.
